YP Member Interview #3
It’s time for the next instalment in our YP Members in Profile series. I’m very pleased to introduce long-time YouPlayer and all-round lovely person - Spoggy!
SPOGGY: I live on the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia and have lived here for 23 years. I love reading, horror movies and cryptozoology, as well as brain games. I love Italian food and the music from the 40's to the 80's but I’m not into sport much. I enjoy reading, especially horror/supernatural books and Catherine Cookson novels.
I found YouPlay when I Googled ‘free games’ and promptly joined up – I’d only had my computer for about six months and was really 'green' (hehe). My favourite puzzles are Sudoku, Addoku and Trivia Combat.
No pets at the moment, but hubby and I have had dogs most of the time - labs, and hubby used to breed standard poodles!

We love to holiday in Sydney, Perth and Melbourne, as we have friends in all of those states, and the Gold Coast was a beautiful experience two years ago.
Being a Virgo, I'm a bit of a fusspot and a perfectionist! I’m also a bit of a neat freak, so I tend to spring clean twice a year and de-clutter the house on a regular basis (but I'm not uptight about it!)
My hubby and I worked as musicians/entertainers for 25 years, all over the state, and I have a BLACK BELT in karate (received when I was 20 years old, but you don't forget the moves!)
I get angry and sad about unfairness in the world and people taking advantage of those who cannot stick up for themselves. I work as an aged care nurse assistant in the 'high care dementia' field. I wish I could run my own nursing home to right the faults which I see every day.
I'm a happy person with a very strong ethic and I will fight for what I think is an unfair situation - I stick up for others and help people when I can. Hubby and I have coordinated a stroke and neurological support group here on the coast for the past 15 years – we founded the group by ourselves on a volunteer basis.

Hey Spoggy, a most down to earth and uplifting read! I can relate to the Virgoan issues! My partner works in the same field as you and my Dad is in a home (dementia) so I know where you are coming from when you say 'right the faults'. Your support group is a great idea and good for you both getting that up and running. All the best.
