It was fantastic to read about all your book faves in the comments of my last blog – with such diverse tastes (and fine intelligence) I’m very much looking forward to the Book Club generating some truly fascinating reviews and discussions as we work through a different genre each month.
From today, you can visit the official YP Book Club page, and add your User Name to the Member List. You’ll also see a list of fun features that will be unlocked over the coming weeks including an invite a friend option, a suggest a book area and the YP bookshelf.
Once you’ve signed up, it’s time to decide whether this month’s book is one you’d like to read. If so, get your hands on a copy (I recommend local libraries, second hand book stores, e-bay and Amazon.com) and get reading! Shortly I’ll be adding a list of questions to kick off the book club discussion. So what are you waiting for? Time to reveal the first book!
[Drum Roll Please…]
And the very first book to be read by the YouPlay Book Club in the Crime/Detective category is…
Step On A Crack by James Patterson (with Michael Ledwidge)
The poll was close but the readers have spoken, with Patterson beating Patricia Cornwall by 4%.
